I love shooting photographs on black and white film. It's how I started my professional career, and apart from a few years I have always had a darkroom - even during that time I developed films on the kitchen bench. I've processed many hundreds of films for my own work and for other photographers and businesses, and now that I've built a new darkroom I'm getting enquiries whether I can process black and white film for other photographers. I don't want to set up a full-time darkroom business but I'm more than happy to process b/w films for photographers who want their films carefully processed to their requirements or specifications.

Film processing
Unless you have specific instructions films are developed in a standard developer to the manufacturers' recommendations. You will need to complete the order form below and then post or courier it together your film(s) to me. I might be able to arrange a pick up or rendezvous in the Wgtn, Hutt Valley or Wairarapa regions* but you'll need to email me to arrange that. I will process, cut and sleeve your negatives, then ship or drop them off to you. Just email if you'd like any more info or to discuss your exact requirements. Turnaround is usually a couple of days but longer if I need to get a developer in. At this stage I can only process 35mm and 120 film.

Custom black and white prints
I can print from your black and white negatives. I will sort out a system for ordering as well as pricing etc soon, but in the meantime please email if you'd like a print made from a black and white negative. From 35mm & 120 b/w film only, and the smallest print I'll do is 8x10".

* At my convenience. I'm usually over in the Wellington or Hutt Valley area at least once a week. Sorry I've recently had to drop Wellington City & many Wellington suburbs off the free delivery list because it's become too hard and slow to get around or through the city, and to get a park. Happy to arrange a rendezvous though.
