Darts "Battle of the Hill"

Forty-four competitors lined up to the annual Capital Area ‘battle of the hill’ darts tournament on Saturday. Hosted by the Pioneer Darts Club, the annual event features players from the Wairarapa region playing against their Wellington counterparts.
Many people may not consider darts to be a "real" sport but despite the jovial atmosphere with all competitors throughly enjoying each others company, and a few bevies, there was a lot of skill and accuracy on display, including the fascinating ability of the scorers to progressively subtract players’ scores from their totals at lightening speed.
The contingent from Wellington took the overall honours 2-1 after beating the A-team and the women, while the local B-team won their section.
