Good time at Athletics 'Have a Go Day'

Around a hundred youngsters gathered at the Colin Pugh Sports Bowl on Saturday for Athletics & Cycling Masterton’s (ACM) ‘Have a go day’. Event organiser and ACM Chair of Track and Field, Ingrid Bain says that the morning was all about having fun and trying out a range of different athletics activities which included 100m sprints, long and high jumps, shot put and throwing.

As well as athletics, ACM organises harrier, cycling and bmx events. The athletics group meets on Wednesday evenings for training and on Saturday mornings for their club days from late October through to March. There are also several inter club and championship events throughout the season.
